No we haven’t let ourselves down, but am I bollocks going to write out “The British and Irish Lions” down every time. Same reason I don’t moan when people call the English cricket team the English cricket team rather than the “England and Wales cricket team”. Just as I don’t keep calling the Dragons by their full name – “The Newport Gwent Dragons”.

I’m not into politics, people can choose what they want, I’m just not going to write that out every time!

Rugby Nick and Roy should know that the Irish players are not British therefore they have no pride in being British.
The team are called the British & IRISH lions.
You guys have let yourselves down with your ignorance to this.

Was there for all the games and watching this brings it all back, the pride/passion of looking in pure amazement at just how many Lions fans travelled so far and paid so much in the middle of the biggest recession the world has seen since the great depression.
Pride at being British.
Only the lions can create such an atmosphere and bring the 4 countries together.
So many memories, great memories, singing with the welsh boys in a tiny tin pot hotel just outside Rorkes drift and all the locals asking if they could have our lions shirt, and not one of us would give their treasured Lions shirt away.
The brilliant banter with the springbok fans, listening to the springboks go on and on and on about how they simply could not believe how many Lions fans were over there.
If youve never being on a Lions tour, then for crying out loud get saving now for Australia 2013, as its something that will stay with you for ever.
