New Weight Loss Blog and Forum
As most of you know I have been debating using this blog as a tool for helping with my weight loss – setting public goals, talking about my progress etc. Despite the majority of those who voted thinking I should do this I have decided not to. Whilst the occassional blog post on the subject would be fine (and something I am still considering) I suspect it is something I would want to post about more than that – I have a tendancy to throw myself into projects rather wholeheartedly.
So instead of subjecting you all to constant updates on what I’ve eaten, my weight, my exercise etc I’ve decided to do it elsewhere. Awhile ago I purchased a domain name I had intended to ‘flip’ (build then sell on) but never got around to using. I had a couple of articles on ‘walking for weight loss’ written and planned more – but other projects got me side tracked. The main site is called the ‘Small Belly Guide‘ (odd name I know, but pretty memorable)!
So I shall use that as a basis for talking about my weight loss. In fact the majority won’t be kept on the main blog itself, which I hope to use as a depository for weight loss articles. Instead I have set up a basic weight loss forum within the website – and it is there I shall be talking about my weight loss efforts.
So if any of you are considering trying to lose weight I urge you to join the forum – the more of us that get together and talk about it the easier it will become! Even if you don’t need to lose weight feel free to join in and comment on my own weight loss efforts (even if its to take the piss), or talk about rugby training, preseason training, etc (I shall set up a board to that end).
So check out the site and forums. Not much there now but I hope that will change. And please do join in the forums – your support for my weight loss efforts will be greatly appreciated!

Weight loss blog? from the man who once, on a night out, suggested to me we go get a burger, so we did – a huge one each at that! Then agreed to go for a curry within 5 minutes?
Plus I atill have that photo of the breakfast you ate for preparation for the cracker 7′s!
Why do you think I need a weight loss blog!
I know you have that photo, so do I, its on facebook – and damn pretty I look too.
Need to find a way to force me to lose weight as its not like I can exercise much at the moment, maybe a blog/forum will help me do that. Anyway captain chubs why don’t you go harass ’5 burgers in an hour’ Rob about his eating habits?
Oh I harass him every time about that whenever he comments on my rotundness don’t you worry hahaha! Good luck to you mate it may help with the CFS but it don’t mean i’m not going to harass you – that’s what friends are for hahahahhahahaha!

I like the way it has become 5 burgers in an hour… It was one chicken burger then an hour later two Double cheese burgers… But more upsettingly you forget the mega kebab at the end of the night…

Hey Nick, good luck. There was a time over 5-6 years ago when I weighed over 250 pounds(probably weighed more, but too chickenshit to get on a scale) At 215-220 pounds on a 5’10 frame, nobody is going to be asking me to model speedo swimsuits…but I do feel a lot better. Believe it or not, starting to play rugby in my mid 40′s helped me a lot in helping to lose weight.

First of all Good luck. Being into sports will really help you lose weight, maybe not much, but at least a pound or two will help, and other that if you are enjoying what you’re doing it will motivate you to continue what you’re plans really are.
