David Bishop is going on trial to Sale Sharks – where their Welsh Director of Rugby Kingsley Jones will be taking a look at him.
Ceiron Thomas is leaving the Scarlets to join newly promoted Guinness Premiership side Leeds – presumably to get some game time.

Stephen Jones is one Welsh rugby player that seems to ceate a lot of controversy – odd for such a mild mannered 10.
Some consider him a Welsh rugby legend, whilst others don’t even consider him world class.
So we have to wonder – why are people seeing the same player so differently? What is it about him that has some people saying Legend whilst others saying ‘journeyman’?
We look at why that is, and why I consider him to be truly deserving of the phrase ‘Welsh rugby legend’.

So Barry Davies has signed for Welsh Rugby region, the Ospreys, leaving French side Brive.
As a former Llanelli Scarlets player he is likely to get a fair bit of stick from his mates back home, but the question remains… why did the Ospreys make this signing, and will it be a good one for them?

It seems everyone and his dog is demanding answers from the Welsh rugby managment when it comes to what happened with Ryan Jones’ call up, and sending home, from the British Lions. Even Derwyn Jones is getting in on the act.
But I am not convinced that Robin McBryde, Sean Holley and co have a case to answer. It seems to me to simply be a gamble that didn’t pay off.

I meant to post about this before but I have been swamped with work and other issues, so forgot about it. I have set up a league of blogs to take part in Sky’s fantasy Lions game – and its already one game old and I forgot to change my team – thankfully I already had players such as the try scoring Lee Byrne in it so despite not having half the team start the Welsh Rugby Blog came 2nd.

Not in my opinion. Now this is going to sound like a harsh criticism, so it should be noted I think he is a perfectly good regional option for the Ospreys. With Gavin Henson regularly missing I have no problems with Bishop stepping in and doing a job for us there… but I don’t think he is good enough for Wales rugby.
Having watched the appalling game vs Canada (it did have some plus points, but all in all a pathetic game) I have to say that Andrew Bishop is not …
