Scarlets Release Jamie Corsi

Jamie Corsi Released

The Llanelli Scarlets have released Jamie Corsi after only one season with the Parc-Y-Scarlets outfit.

The 22 year old tight head prop had previously toured with Wales down under as a teenager, but now finds himself looking for a new team with the season start only weeks away. Jamie Corsi only managed one start for the Scarlets, and that was in the LV= cup, specifically designed for the fringe players. The rest of his rugby last season had been in the Welsh Premiership with Llanelli RFC.

Presumably, with money tight, the Scarlets have decided that Rhys Thomas and Deacon Manu, both of whom will be on very good money, are enough cover – especially with Phil John able to cover the tighthead in an emergency. There is also highly rated Welsh U20 tighthead Simon Gardiner looking to make the step up.

About Rugby Nick

Rugby Nick is a keyboard masher who likes to try and write about rugby when his fat fingers hit anything like the right buttons. Since he is in London he thought the obvious thing to write about would be Welsh rugby...
