As you know just about all the posts on this blog have been related to Welsh rugby in some shape or form. Yes they have been my personal opinions, but they are themed on the one aspect.
Now I am starting on a new weight loss campaign for me. It is a bit of an issue as I suffer from CFS (see how open I’m being here, I really should stop disclosing) but between dieting and exercise I am hoping to cut my weight down – which shouldn’t be hard as I am currently tipping the scales at over twenty stone (I’m a large built 6ft4 bloke and estimate my fighting weight to be about 17 stone).
The question is, should I include the occasional personal blog post on this blog, in this case obviously the personal post will be about my weight loss. I’m torn as part of me will think it will help people get to know me better – which is useful as the blog is an opinion site, not a news service (I’ll never even try to compete with the likes of Scrum.com or the excellent BBC sports service).
But it is also a rugby blog, about Welsh rugby, and as such my weight loss campaign is rather off topic. Especially as this season I will no longer be running around League 5 fields, due to CFS and moving to London next month.
So let me know what you want. do you think it would be interesting to include occasional weight loss blog posts (which in turn might help keep me motivated) or would it be too off topic and of no interest (and therefore less embarrassing to me).
Use the poll on the right to vote!

Keep your weight issues off a very good rugby blog fatso!
G, as ever your opinion means nothing to me. Your vote shall be discounted. You are a plague on all humanity.
See you out on the smash in just over a week buddy!
I say go personal and be damned!
But if you could kill those really annoying google ads that sit smack bang in the middle of the post that would be nice.
Now of course perhaps you earn your read and butter from clicks through just that area – but if not then at least kill ‘em from there. Don’t want to stop anyone making a crust – I never pay any attention to the damned things TBH (sorry Mr Google sir – because I know you’re watching!), but find your current page set up a little “in the way”.
Cool, will try stop em tomorrow. Was testing some sort of fancy dan new randomizer for the adverts but if they’re getting in the way then I’ll shift ‘em when I am on the computer I log in from.
Its your site and post what you want and what you’re thinking about, as long as the posts are primarily rugby nobody will mind, and seeing behind the author is usually a good thing.
Best of luck both with the fight & moving to London, perhaps we’ll meet up for a pint over rugby.
Go for it, it’s your blog so why not?
