Came across this info over on Gwlad – London Welsh are looking to help out the victims of the tsunami in Samoa, which left many dead and the country devastated.
London Welsh v Cornish Pirates Saturday 17 October. Happy Hour between 12.30-1.30. Come along and watch Apollo Perelini and Trevor Leota in a special 7′s match followed by our first team game. There will be player interviews, raffles and auctions to raise funds for the victims of the tsunami in Samoa. Remember kids go free!
Now I’d been planning on going along to the game anyway. I am looking to move to London in the next couple of weeks and intend to be watching London Welsh on a semi frequent basis and this was going to be my first ever game there. But this gives an added incentive to get along to Old Deer Park.
Let us not forget that this will also be a great game, two teams very hopeful of doing well and possibly promotion this season.
So if you want to watch some good rugby, have a few beers and a good time AND help out a great cause get along to Old Deer Park this Saturday.
EDIT: an update – I found (was sent by the other half) this on the Drunken wasps forum (unofficial Wasps supporters group) http://www.rugbynetwork.net/boards/read/s96.htm?98,10940032
