Richard Parks Retires From Rugby

Newport Gwent Dragons flanker Richard Parks has retired from rugby at the age of 31 because of a shoulder injury.

He had a rugby career that included 4 Welsh caps and playing for the Dragons, Celtic Warriors, Pontypridd, Leeds and Perpignan.

A shame.  He was a competitive flanker for the Dragons, always putting in a huge amount of work and very strong at the breakdown.  Whilst not of the class of Martyn Williams he was still a very good regional level flanker who will be missed from the Welsh rugby scene.
