Cardiff Blues Team vs Glasgow

The Cardiff Blues have made a late change to their team to take on Glasgow, with Leigh Halfpenny coming in for Ben Blair at 15. Halfpenny played a lot of his junior rugby at fullback, and a couple of Magners League games, so there are no major concerns about his ability to fit in there.

Good news for the Blues is that Ben Blair should be back for the Harlequins game in the Heineken cup, so no major concerns about his injury.

Have to admit that backline isn’t looking especially creative. Tom Shanklin is pure quality, Richard Mustoe is in great form (from what I have seen) but Gavin Evans, SNK, Gareth Thomas and Cooper don’t fill me with high hopes of a lot of tries. Let’s see what Halfpenny can do coming into the line.

Blues Team: 15 Leigh Halfpenny, 14 Richard Mustoe, 13 Tom Shanklin, 12 Gavin Evans, 11 Gareth Thomas, 10 Sam Norton-Knight, 9 Gareth Cooper

1 John Yapp, 2 Gareth Williams, 3 Gary Powell, 4 Deiniol Jones, 5 Paul Tito(c), 6 Sam Warburton, 7 Robin Sowden-Taylor, 8 Andy Powell

Replacements
16 Darren Morris, 17 Rhys Williams, 18 Bradley Davies, 19 Scott Morgan, 20 Darren Allinson, 21 Ceri Sweeney, 22 Chris Caekaj
